More December Activities

Digicert sent Kyle and Karen (and company) to Disneyland again this year.   Kimberly and Kellie met up with them and everyone had a blast.
We took some cute pictures of Jason in front of the Christmas tree with two is his friends.

Christmas at Nana's

Last night we had our annual Christmas party at Nana's house.   The food was yummy and as tradition would have it . . .  we played "the game."   We had a lot of fun as you can see and we met some new friends
Nana with Taylor, Dawson & Ryan.
Everyone enjoying the game.  The object is to see how many gifts you can get in 20 minutes time.  Every time you roll a double you get to choose another gift.   We all fight over the favorite ones each year and at the end we open them up.   If you get a  true "while elephant" gift, you get to choose again until you get a real gift.

Nana did not like her gift, but . . .
Danny did like his.

Favorite B&B at Christmas Time

We went bumming again to our "new favorite find."   It is the Inn at Snow Meadows in Bear Lake.  The hosts, Greg and Carol Bills, are the nicest people you will ever meet.   The Inn has 10 themed rooms and this time we stayed in the beach room.  They have different meals at night that they can fix you, and have a wonderful buffet breakfast in the morning.   In our opinion this B&B gets a 10 out of 10!!!  They also have a facility next door called the Grandview that would hold a lot of people for a family reunion.   Carol gave us a tour and it was amazing.  I have all kinds of ideas running thought my mind, and hopefully someday we could get a group together.   We could take the boat and or four wheelers and really have a blast.

More Harry Potter Fun

Paul wanted to see the new movie also so on Saturday we went to the District and saw the movie in a new format called a D-box.   The seats are set up like a motion ride.  The seat vibrated, moved up and down and tilted sideways.   It is good I had seen the movie before so I knew what to anticipate with the whole "chair movement."  It was a fun experience, but once is enough.   By the way . .  Paul loved the movie also.

Harry Potter Fun

We went to an early showing of Harry Potter as guests of Digicert.  It was awesome.  As you can see Kaylee was dressed up in the "official robes".  She was really brave and sat through the whole thing.  Kyle had already seen the movie while on business in Australia and given had the official approval of the movie.

Pumpkin Contest

Riverton Hospital had a contest where each department was asked to decorate a pumpkin and then they were all taken to one of the conference room to be judged.   Here is "Beulah May" and the HIM team.  I am sure we will not win, but we had fun making it.

The End of October

Before my favorite month is over I wanted to add a few more fun things.   This year for our annual birthday getaway Paul and I found a new favorite spot.   We went to Bear Lake and found a hidden gem .  . . Inn at Snow Meadows.   The hosts, Carol and Greg are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.   We ate two meals there and they were wonderful and reasonably priced.   Here are some pictures of the Safari room we stayed in.  They have 10 themed rooms to choose and the quality and attention to detail is outstanding.

My Birthday

Today is my double nickle birthday (55).   I don't feel that old inside, but hey . . . how do you turn back the clock?   I had a wonderful day and I want to thank everyone that sent birthday wishes my way.   I especially want to thank my wonderful husband for the beautiful roses that he sent to my office.   I have the best family and I want them to know how much I love them!!

Subject of my posts . . . .

As you can see most of the posts and pictures on my blog are and will be about my family.   They are my greatest blessings and I am thankful for each one.   My days are mostly spent at the Riverton Hospital.   I work in medical records and analyze the inpatient charts.  If they are not complete and have everything necessary to make it a legal document, then we have to get the doctors to sign or finish them.   I love the new facility and my boss is wonderful.   Paul is still traveling and doing consulting for a company called Integral.   He mostly supports software made by Computer Associates.    That is the original company he worked for when we first got married and he is quite skilled in a lot of their products.   The webcam makes it fun to talk to each other at night, but it is not the "real thing."   Hoping to be in the same zip code 24/7 some day soon.

Jason at grandma's house.

Jason is growing fast.    His smile just warms your heart and grandpa can really get him laughing.

Kase Jay Brothersen

Kase came into this world  3 weeks early, but he is doing fine now.  He was 6 lbs and 3 oz  and had to have a little help with some oxygen and they had to stabilize his blood sugars, but he has made wonderful progress and he and Karen will probably come home on Saturday.   Big sister Kaylee is so excited and is anxious to help out and I am sure Konnor will adapt to a new person in the house  in no time.
First group picture.  Look at those happy faces!

Jason's Blessing

Today was Jason's blessing and his Grandpa Little blessed him.  He is now 3 months old and we love his chubby cheeks and his cute smile.   James and Ashley keep us up to date with his activities.   We sure do love him.

Starting my blog

Today I am staring my blog.   Both of my daughters-in-law have encouraged me to start one, so here I go.   I think it will be a lot of fun.   Now if I can just figure out how this works and personalize it.
